if your looking for parts. we've got pretty much a complete 22R i think, with ported, polished and CC'd head, think it was being converted to LPG, not sure what's been done to the bottom end, stock as far as i know, block has some damage to water pump mounting hole, if you interested i'll ask the old man what it's worth to him... can probably throw in a turbo too... will not part...

failing that, know where we can get a front timing cover to suit?

You can have my timing cover. Throw in an SR20 halfcut and you can have it free

Aww, don't give up on ur 22RE.

i'm try it on with my 22RE on the cheap.

Bought the 295cc injectors, 22R-TE ECU, AFM of ebay for next to nicks.
Got the CT-20 from a bloke in burliegh heads complete (manafold to dump pipe and eveything in between)((he had heaps of em, but i got the only complete one))

gonna try bolting all that on. add custom water and oil lines. and then go for a drive.

should be fun. not even gonna open it up a drop the compression. since a stock 22RE runs about 8.5:1 and the 22R-TE is 7.5:1, i already forsee problems.

later, i'll be pulling it all out for a proper rebuild (or burial ) I've got 430cc blacks from a 7M-GTE, and my choice of a wolf V3 or microtech MT-8.

RT-142 as a donor. RA65 for my builder up.

    Actually I'm back with turbo'ing the 22R!

Getting cam reground in the next few weeks (and doing some port work to head/intake) to bring the power band a bit higher than stock

Have bought about half the parts needed to convert suspension to S13 (will be standard struts to start with until I can afford coilovers (few weeks). Now I just need to source an LSD and it'll be set to drift

    Oh and some nice 15's.

Will be turbo'ing it next year. Provided it's on low boost I don't think it'll have any problems provided you take good care of it (oil changes/oil coolers etc)

Good luck with that..... Nah, it should be ok with low boost. The 22RE runs 9.5:1 comp standard, but will take 7odd psi with a good cooling system and enough oil circulation and a safe tune. Good luck and keep us posted.
