    Default Exhaust Mufflers

    Hello All,

Does anyone know any good 3" center to center (rear) mufflers which will quiet down the exhaust note? I've got a Magnaflow 3" straight through muffler and it's loud for my liking...

The exhaust system looks similar to the picture below but I have a flange 2" before the rear muffler so I can change the rear muffler:

Hmm, straight through's are not the best for noise suppression, though a review I read on autospeed had the Genie as the best straight-thru for performance/noise I beleive.

Have you tried a dog-leg style?
    Center to Center Baffle style?

You may need to go for a turboflow/triflow lukey to get a reduction in noise, they are available in center/offset or offset/offset.

I ran a 3TGTE in a T18 hatch and used a HDT SS 2 3/4 i/d Commodore muffler. VH series, quiet and unobstructed as used in the Firth 308 V8.
