    Default REPLACING MX83 REAR SHOCKS/SPRING...sorted! woo hoo,

    hey guys,

    trying to do the rear shock and spring on the cressy atm,

    but cant work out how to get the rear seat out to get to the rear strut tops?

    anyone had to do this b4?

    all help will be rewarded!, cheers

    Yup, two 10mm bolts at the bottom of the seat. Easiest to lift out the seat bottom first.
    Then undo the top plate (3 nuts) then undo the top hat (another 3 nuts) then get a breaker bar and push down on the front LCA while twisting maneuvering cursing a bit and finally getting it out.

    To put back in repeat in opposite order.

    no neeed for a breaker bar when you have 115kgs behind you!

    Heh, im all 58kg of lean mean machine or some crap like that. Breaker bars help muchly.

    I didnt notice that you had already figured it out as well, serves me right for being distracted by the Celica after opening posts.
