Default Motorbike ITBs instead of DCOE ITB's

Wonder if this will work for my 18RG.
Friend of mine has a set of Hayabusa Suzuki ITBs I can have.
    Any advice appreciated

they arent carbs, they are ITB's...
A lot of people have done this, usually using the GSXR (also called Hayabusa) ITB's (42mm).

    Here is another guide:
    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Nissan_240SX_Performance_Modification/KA24DE_and_KA24E/ITB's#Custom_ITB_Setup_For_KA24DE_using_GSXR_750_o r_GSXR_1000_Throttle_Bodies

Note, there is only a 5HP increase, and if put a megaquirt on the stock plenum and manifold you would also get a 5HP increase, because it doesnt have the emmisions control, so make you mind up about that one...

if you can make them fit, and they are large enough, they are a good option.
i've seen GSXR's on an alfa 2L (ie, 18RG) and planned to fit bike carbs with the CV slides fixed to a K motor...

no reason not to use them, except that they are usuall attached by rubber tube instead of bolting on... of you can get around that, no probs.

Ben Wilson on these forums has also done a fair bit of fiddling with GSXR throttle bodies. He'd be worth a chat to if you run into any issues.
Nikita the RA23 is almost finished .

Meh. Rubber tube is an easy way out, dont have to worry about welding up adapter plates for old manifolds then.
Its not going to harm performance too much so why not... unless you care a lot about looks of course.
