    Default boss kit/horn

    Hey pplz,

I am having trouble gettin my horn to work. Now It didnt work previously with the old wheel before the boss kit. Is there suppose to be a seperate place that touches the metal circle on the back of the boss kit?? or is it all inbuilt as it is. Can some1 post a pic of what it should look like behind the boss kit with the horn working. It may be the wireing in the engine bay. The to horns cables run through the front into the engine bay and connect to an even fatter wire. So i am not sure if they are connected or not. Plz help me out.

    Cheers

Stealing from this thread i read ages ago (http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...ght=wheel+horn) , there should be this plate that touches the boss kit.

I know on my previous car this had broken off so the horn didnt work.

There should be a wire when you remove the boos kit. If you touch that wire on the steering column the horn should work. If it doesn't start tracing back from there.

I have added a wire from the horn button(on the back) onto the bosskit and just tapped it on and this made it work. Is you horn button actually touching anywhere on the boss kit to complete the circuit?

Yeah its got a sliding ring to allow the horn electric circuit return earth to be made and the horn relay close so check the back of the boss and make sure that the pickup fingers/brass contactor is making it.

Sometimes there is an electrical fly lead with a spade clip that needs to be connected also.
