    Default Rules Reguarding dash....

hey im looking at replacing my tacho and spedo and the rest with aftermarket guages... is there any sort of legality issue with getting engenered like that? becase what id like to do is just take out the guage cluster and mount all the new ones in there... main concern is losing the odometer........

Autometer speedos come with an odometer, so consider using one of them unless you have an electric speedo.

This might sound dodgy.. well because it is but theoretically couldn't you:
Mount the gauges and get them engineered. Now you have the papers saying they're legally in your car. If a copper happens to have a look I don't think they'll notice there's no odometer. If anything they'll see you've got gauges but you've got the paperwork for that so you should be in the clear.
My car was engineered with gauges (by previous owner) but the odometer and speedometer aren't wired up. It just shows the kilometres on the car before the engine swap and it got engineered so there you go. The rev tacho also drops to 0 after 4000 lol but lucky there's a shift light
That being said though I'd much prefer having a speedo/odo but it's all going in the sp00ntah anyway so I can't be stuffed.

ADR 18/03 - Instrumentation (if you want to search it up for the full thing)
    5.
    SPECIFICATIONS
    5.1.
The display of the speedometer must be located within the direct field of view of the
driver and must be clearly legible both day and night. The range of speeds displayed
must be sufficiently wide to include the maximum speed of this type of vehicle as
    stated by the manufacturer.
