Yes. We all know it *should* work and indeed it *might* work in practice, but it's no good at all if it keeps breaking things.
How do you really get to know if it is going to work unless you try it!
It is easy to sit on the keyboard and speculate what will and won't work but unless you pull out some initiative and give it a go, you will never know...
Obviously you can talk to other people who have run similar setups to get an idea.
If it breaks things then you work out how to fix them not to break next time...
I'm a big fan of what oldcorolla's mentioned in the old forums thread.
I'm paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of :
"Ideas should be thrashed out in great detail before a spanner turns"
If people have done similar things, or have better ideas, or have run into problems, wouldnt you prefer to hear them BEFORE you blow your cash on experimenting?
Trial and error is the only way to learn. The trick is to learn as much as possible from other people's trial and error before you start.
If we didnt, we'd still be in caves wondering if tying a rock to a stick with hair would work or not.
Yep, completely agree that ideas should be discussed before they are implemented but there comes a point where having a go with the new found knowledge will result in finding more things that weren't necessarily thought of during the initial discussions. Pretty much like you said![]()
It would be good to hear from others who have actually run twin charged setups before.

I was considering one as more of an anti-lag system. Pumping into the turbos intake for instant boost and quick spool that shuts off at a predetermained RPM. Only thing i was worried about was bost leek from the filter, the option i was thinkin about was a butterfly at the point where the filter and SC output met so when the SC clutch kicked in (at set RPM point) teh butterfly switched to alow access to the filtered air.

now i remeber reading about a factory twin charged car the supercharger would pump till 4500rpm and a switch would cut it off and the turbo would cut in. all was done with in a few 100rpm and it seamed to work quite well as it was not noticable. this was set up on the small car consept of the K's. but i cant remember the make it could have been a nissan....
