Racecraft industries apparently specialize in multivalve Toyota engines, and judging by their dodgy looking website have a neat looking workshop, Promaz looks much more blinged out but.. they specialize in Mazda's..
Ey guys,
As the title says, I'm after a decent tuner of EMS computers (ie, Stinger, 8860, Dualsport) in Melbourne, If you know of any that have toyota specific experience even better
The two i know of are:
Racecraft Industries in Tullamarine and Promaz Performance in Thomastown anybody had any experience with either of these companies?
Cheers guys,
Ash.

Has anybody had any type of standalone tuned in Melbourne..?
Yes. I like the oldschool race type of tuners. Speed technology in Mitcham (9873 5400) did mine and I am happy with it.
Also Beninca in Surrey Hills seem to be the same style of workshop too.
Hen
by oldschool race type of tuner what exactly do you mean lol![]()
Beninca will only do autronic and motec. Efi Hardware will do wolf. Maztech will do microtech. I'm not sure who do ems...Who is their aussie dealer. Contact them...
Assumption is the mother of all f**kups...
The two guys I listed above are the Vic dealers, Racecraft and Promaz.. I'll most likely be going to one of the two, and of the two Racecraft states he specialized in Toyota multi valve engines. So it should be open and shut, (though Promaz looks like they have a fancier workshop)
I just want to get opinions from people here first. If anyone had experience with either of those companies I'd appreciate their insight.
Not interested in bling, fads, shiny intercooler piping, earthing kits, voltage stabilisers, bullshit or young wankers who are interested in these things.Originally Posted by kemicalx
They seem like they know how to build and tune a motor and have been doing it for years. They also have real race cars that they actually race.
Yep that's the sort of place i want to take my car, I think Racecraft will be up to the job.Originally Posted by Hen
Give racecraft a miss, guys a big tool and i have not seen a car come out of there that actually runs properly, and not to mention i got ripped of by him to. That said promaz specialise in rotors so i wouldnt be putting money on them either.
EMS recomended tuner in melb is XTC performance, located in coburg. Contact Nick on 03 9354 1198 or 0405 400 572.
Cheers Adam
Thanks for the heads up, what cars do XTC generally tune?
