theres a guide to this around but i think you need to know the range for the TPS before you can set it, ill find it in the morning if your lucky
Hey,
Was wondering if anyone could give step by step instructions on how to setup the TPS and throttle stop screw from scratch. Let's say hypothetically the stop screw and TPS was completely removed...how would one set it all up correctly?
Thanks for any advice.
Kind Regards,
Kurt.

Thanks Jon, I have that diagram in my manual but needed some clarification...tell me if im wrong...
1..remove stop screw completely
2. ensure throttle is full closed
3. adjust stop screw so it JUST touches and lock it in place.
4. adjust TPS with the clearance (0.3 and 0.7mm) as per the book
Correct?
If thats the case, whats the purpose of the stop screw? It doesnt seem to do much apart from just be there when the throttle closes, yet, without it, the throttle will still close perfectly fine?
Kind Regards,
Kurt.

Yes that is correct.
My guess is that the screw is to so that the closed position is held against the screw rather than the sharp edge of the butterfly blade against an alloy housing which would gradualy chew away.

Awesome. Yeah i noticed that without it set, you can feel the butterfly "stick" when its closed.
Thanks Jon!
