how much boost will you be running?
Really though, you will need to measure your valve spring pressure and then make an educated assessment from there.
I use the std retainers (2TG). I run 90+ lbs on the seat. edit - this is direct actuated (shim under bucket type) valves. For rocker and pushrods you will want a few extra pounds of spring pressure to control the whole shebang.

YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.
the target boost level will be 14psi.. right now i'm half way install the stock 3TC valve springs back to my motor.. but find that its very difficult for me to install the springs with the head still attached to the block. tried to find the valve spring compressor but it was not available at all around hardware shops near me... i'm very de-motivated now..
Had them on a garret fd from an SU carbie in 1983 went fine, gearbox and diff crapped out but engine was great. Its here for free if you want it..
