The Crown Saloon has the F series diff 7.5 crown wheel. I am thinking of scrounging these parts to rebuild a Jap imported diff back to original design.
Problem is Crown is independent rear and uses the Salisbury method of assembling from the rear.
Imports use a whole front fitting carrier assembly.
Anyone know if the guts of the Salisbury can be used to fit into the imported axle?
Mainly if the crown wheel and pinion can be fitted to the insides of the early design, and if you use the crush tube and what pinion bearings and crown wheel bearings?
I was going to use the Mark 2 rear carrier.
Second SPLINES?
What splines in early F series diff 1974 as they are my axles and I think coarse splines were used but maybe crown are fine splined.
