I have the same wheels. They really are fiddly fkucers to clean. Mine have a little gutter rash and the factory clear is gone in the grooves. Sounds like a to-do job for me!
I really should get that one back wheel straightened before I try something like this.

I painted my wheels aswell....black....and um...dodgy!!!!!
i just sanded them a little.....and sprayed with paint....it worked!!! sortof....
