Default PWR Radiator deposit on outer

I've got a PWR radiator in my MA-70. Done a current test and no issues there so cant be electrolysis plus its not degrading on the inside, but on the outside I'm getting a white buildup on the sides, right in the folds on the front of the side plates? Any ideas, is it just oxidation due to the grade of aluminium PWR use?
I'm using Toyota Red coolant FWIW. Doen think theres any leaks on the rad as I've inspected it a couple times after a drive. Top tank (the only shiny polished part of it) so far not affected

I think your best bet is to contct them and ask them what it is and if it is something to worry about. maybe nothing to worry about but may also be some sort of corrosion starting.
    cheers

It corrosion cause the alloy has no coating on it. The top part will not corrode because when it was polished there will be a polish residue protecting it from the weather. You could always polish the bits that are corroding. Alternatively, move away from the beach.

    Cheers for the responses guys

The radiator is not earthed, its mounted with the factory Toyota Rubber mounts (and brand new ones at that) now there is conflicting opinion on earthing, some people say it causes more problems if you do earth it?

    Not sure

I dont live near the beach :-( I was thinking about painting the rest of it black or just spraying CRC down the sides of it. I suspect it will start on the fins as well at some stage.
I'm going to call PWR but not expecting much help

2 different metals with water as an electrolyte...earthing probably would not be a good idea, the radiator would probably become a sacrifical anode.

Standard automotive wax will protect the aluminium and keep it nice and clean if that's all you're worried about.

    Yep,agreed.Beter off earthed just incase.

Stray current damage isnt covered in PWR warranty, and very hard to repair if so.

But the white build up is oxidization.Just give it a good polish with Autosol.

    Nothing to worry about champ.
