    Default Toyota bumper repair questions

    Hey everyone,

A friend of mine with an MA70 has a severly cracked front bumper and I would like to fix it. From what I know they are made from polypropelene? Which is a problem when using fiberglass to fix as it will crack when the poly flexs? I do want this to be a good fix and never have to worry about fixing it a second time. Anyone have any ideas/experience?

    Cheers.

Stock plastic bumper covers are usually replaced rather then being fixed. Unless its only minnor damage such as ding or scratch. This is usually fixed by heating it up and getting it back into shape, then using special 2 part plastic bog.

How badly damaged is it and is worth spending time and money on it? Maybe you can find a cheap second hand replacement?

    Hi

You can try some of the following places.

I have had lots of things plastic welded and they have all come up fantastic. I am from QLD so I have never used any of these companies.

    Cheers
