Hey all,
I was wondering if there are easy ways of identifying Toyota diffs from the outside, I am not sure what diff my celica has, its a TA23, but it has had an engine conversion and I am not sure if the stock T series diff was retained. When I had it up on the ramps it looked as though the welds may have been an aftermarket jobbie, but I have never seen the stock ones, so I am not sure. I will attempt to get some pics up, but any ideas would be useful.
Cheers

pull an axle out and count the teeth on the spline.....not a difficult task.
is the diff front or rear loading.
ie commodore spec or ford 9" (and toyota) spec ???
T series are 23 spline
Fseries are 27spline
G series are 31 spline![]()

Yes you would be correct in this assumption.
