    Default 1983 Cressida GX6OR live axle.. what is it?



    Just picked up a free cressida today, expecting it to have IRS.

    Turns out its got a live axle, does anyone know what kind?

    This is what the build plate says:



    Any help appreciated.

    Our 60 series Cressidas all had live axles - they were an E series (7.1") diff, non LSD, but no idea of ratio - probably 3.9 or 4.1 - that was the flavour back then.

    Of course, yours might be something totally different!

    the tomato is on the ball! (re MX62 anyway)!

    MX62 autos had a 3.727 ratio tho...

    I have no idea but I would guess that it is E series, as we didn't get them in AUS tho it is guess a guess...
