I know this is old but do you think it would fit over a 5mge?

I can't say

I don't know where the 5mge sits in the bay, height wise, so I'm not really sure of the clearance. And I did just notice the other day that the bar at certain points has actually cut into my bonnet liner so it is a VERY tight fit as it is

I'd be surprised if it wouldn't fit over the top of the 5MGE and hearing that it touches the liner, i'd be even more suprised it if didn't fit.

You have to remember that all designs for strut braces are slightly different.

Some will clear where as some won't.

Just coz it hits the liner doesn't mean it'll clear a 5m-ge.

Stil need to compare it to my LJM bar, that is *known* to clear 5m-ge's, so depending on how different/similar yours is we might be able to make a good guess.

Mine looks pretty much the same (ma61 specific one) but it's actually completely straight. And it still clears the 7mgte (touching one hose) which has a lot of crap going across it.

Where does one find one of these things I ask you? Ive been hassling the guys at cs.com for months!

I dont especially want to pay for another custom piece of fabrication....

An LJM bar? I got mine about 3 years ago when they were actually able to make them... Pretty sure I saw something in the last week or so where Jay was looking at finding places that could make them up for a reasonable price, but it was unlikely that they'd be as cheap as previously.

Still, it cost me $300 back then to get it here so I'd imagine it'd probably be cheaper to try and make one up yourself?

I, personally, have a LMJ, and it is very very good. I was researching this topic for a friend of mine who can't get one and is upgrading his suspension. He's looked into the cusco, but from what I understand, they flex just as bad, if not worse, than a bar like this probably would. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I think it will probably fit, as it looks to have more clearance of that 7mgte than my LMJ has over my 5mge.
