    Default JZX90 Help Please Mulitple questions

    Hi Guys,

    Had my Mark II for 6 or so months now and have a few problems... well not problems ... just things i cant find answers for lol.

    1, My dash lights are very dim. Ive searched the dash a million times but i can not find a dimmer switch so i can turn them up. Can anyone answer this for me?

    2, Were the any factory spoilers for the lower half of the car. I have the Front lip on but side skirts and rear skirt? Only after factory ones. Or something very sedate. Searched google a million times but only find Aftermarket items that make the car look rather silly for a daily driver.

    3, NOW THE MAIN ONE. Its developed a cough between gear shifts (auto). Resembles rev limiter.
    Usually half throttle off the lights it changes about 4,000 rpm into second and splutters then its fine. I dont lose power though. If i give it full throttle it doesnt do it.
    Things ive changed as per research into this problem.
    -Coolant temp sensor
    -Cat converter
    -O2 sensor
    -Map sensor
    -Numerous vacuum hoses
    - Battery reset ( anyone got different methods to the usual drive stop , battery disconnect , reconnect then drive all the way through to top gear then stop , shut off car , start , then drive. Got that off a US soarer site.
    Car runs stock ecu , Stock boost at 8 psi , Dump back 3 inch , Intake , Rebuilt turbos.
    Im at a loss why.

    Any help much appreciated.

    1. sorry cant help you , but sometimes they do dimmer switched for compliance , but from factory none of mine had one .. maybe your globes are shot or someone has put coloured frangers over them

    2. yea some models had a factory front lip , but no other extra sides or rear skirts . ya have to chase aftermarket if you want skirts on the side /rear

    3. this is normal , mine all do it when u have a bigger exhaust fitted . its the ecu cutting power for each gear change , its to protect the gearbox from damage.
    best way to get rid of it is install a shift kit from mv autos , about $350 or so , and it speeds up the shifting.

    if ya need any parts , ive parted out 3-4 jzx90's so i got lots of bits laying about

    REP for mxracer! Correct ....i had an exhaust fitted an noticed just after. Learning to love the blipping noise on changes now it i know its normal ...hated and avoided it before lol

    You have PM about parts aswell.

    anyone done a dash light upgrade on a JZX90? Looks intimidating!

    Any ideas on nice sedate kits? Google keeps showing me snow ploughing type vertex kits etc!
