There are a few places I know of to get genuine seals.

Sleeka Spares in SA, bit more expensive but dont need to deal international

    Toyhead, info provided by others

TimsToys, yet to deal with him, but apparently has better prices than the others.

I just bought my Genuine seals, and they are so nice and soft and perfectly fitted. I would not reccommend the aftermarkets. BTW, rare spares and clark rubber resell the spectrum ones, thats why they have the same fitment issues.

Also, de-chroming the RA28 just wont look right. that would be like putting black plastic bumpers on... not cool.

The RA28 seal has the extra lip on the inside top edge of the window which holds in the roof lining. An RA23 does not have this afaik.
Yeah, found this too, no one I could find here in Qld could get hold of one, however, a few people did actually know that they were different, which surprised me. Without the extra 'lip' the roof lining looks a bit crap.

I got mine a while back from nick at the Celica shop, $125ea for front and rear. (Very good price) was a couple of years ago though. Got the chrome striplock too for $30. Have found Clark Rubber to have them too but around $220.

You could also try Scotts Old Auto Rubber I recently got some seals from them, the front windscreen was an RA23 one not an RA28 but I am very happy with the quality and fitment.

I got RA28 front window seal from rare spares and it fitted well and had the lip to hold the hoodlining.

Scotts and spectrum are the same thing. I have heard that the windscreen seals fit well, but the rest is poo. Apparently the window squeegies have plastic clips instead of metal ones, and all manner of disturbingly incorrect bits.

Anybody got any idea how much genuine RA28 front and rear window seals are worth?
the TA23GT has the same weather strip as the T/RA28 because they came with 5mm glass.
the T/RA23 LT variants came with 5.7mm glass.
if you optioned the 23 LT or ST variant with 5mm glass then there was a different part number again.
