what does GET stand for?
Hey, I have a pair of GET branded shocks on the front of my ae82, and I believe they can be rebuilt. However Google sees GET as get so it's really goddamn hard to find info.
Help appreciated.
what does GET stand for?

No idea. That's all the sticker on the shock says. That and some blurb about how they're good on the street and strip.
google search for the blurb..
are you sure they are japanese?

i don't know a single character, but you can search your way around yahoo auctions if you waste enough time there

given some fresh shocks (koni or otherwise) are fairly cheap is it worth trying to rebuild these ones, given the difficulty in finding information i imagine you'll have the same issue trying to get parts to rebuild them. perhaps it would just be wise to replace the inserts ?
just a thought.
ignore me i went to the link...
Probably monroe or similar manufacture like half the japanese aftermarket stuff; I think pedders are able to rebuild a lot of import things (or they mod them and fit pedders/monroe guts).
ewww. munroe or pedders or like having no shocks anyway

i tried looking around japanese pages but they almost always use "get" as a verb..
you could try looking at some shops selling wanky D1 parts perhaps?
or, you could find out what GET actually stands for is maybe best bet.. or look on japanese tuning parts sites

C2888 = winner.
That's the logo on mine. Any more info avaliable?
No more info out there?
I dont understand japanese.
Oldcorollas, have you looked at c2888's link, can you help?
Seeing as it's not a household name, and that I only found one set on yahoo. You can choose either they are SUPER dooper exclusive and no one can afford them.
Or they went bust years ago and didn't live to see the internet age, hence your difficulty in finding anything about them online.

all i got from the link was that they should be given junk treatment.. as i posted above before anyway
there are a few references on message boards around, but they don't seem to have a high profile...
my advice still stands....ジャンク扱いでお願いします

they don7t appear to be exclusive as such. just not common.
