I've got the PS bracket off the MTEU which didn't run the air injection I can give to you if you want. I don't want it Pay for postage and it will be so

MX63 would have been cool I'd have one lol...

this talk of turbo is interesting......would a 7mgte metal headgasket fit 5m. probably not. SOHC vs DOHC

a low boost application, say 5-7 psi might yield a little more power. add some bigger incectors and a fuel pump. or an extra injector with a hobbs switch?

    what do people think?

stack 2 HG's on top of each other.

    better sealing FTW

or you could just grind bits of the head away, next to the valves, that'll drop the squish area down a fair bit, and drop dynamic compression a fair bit too.

Or we could realise the fact that they have 8:1 or 8.8:1 compression from the factory and figure that is prbly low enuf

On another note we really could no bother talking about hotting up 5me's! Someone might get the idea to actaully do it?!

    Cheers

Well...... It's just so tempting I mean really, I wouldn't mind getting triple figures out of mine. I'd stop there if I did, after would come engine conversion. But for now I'm leaving the engine well alone (bar repairs if needed) and focusing on brakes/suspension. Once my car is at speed I have no issues, I just want to keep it at speed through hills.

this would achieve the opposite - worse sealing with a geater risk of gasket failure..

anyway - why are people even considering this (modding a 5me)? just shifting to a 5mge is a more sensible improvement... 7mge would be major step up in performance and economy - even from a wrecker-special.
