    Default engine number

    hey guys,

    i have an ae82 with a 4a-c... im looking for the engine number but cant find it... can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction??? i think i may be looking too hard and looking straight past it. any help would be much appreciated!

    on all 4a's that ive had the engine no. is on the large rib on the block that the bell/gearbox bolts upto.
    and i think they've been on the exhuast side. at about the 10 oclock position on the rib if you understand that

    They are below the exhaust manifold, on the face of the block next to where the gearbox bolts on.. hard to see with the exhaust and what-not on the car. Basically facing the car front on with the bonnet up, vertically up the far right hand side of the block.

    yeh thatnks man.... i was looking at it b4 but the number dont stand out like the number on the 4agte that i have....

    If it isn't visible use some wet and dry sand paper on the end of a screwdriver to clean it up.
