you must feel like the biggest man because you can give me neg rep for asking a question... i tell you what, this forum needs more members like you, especially in the tech section, there are heaps of people in there that need help just like yours..

i asked a question, I asked if i could pay to become a member to sell some stuff. i don't have time to use this forum actively so i was prepared to pay for my time here. the simple answer would have been "no you can't just sign up and pay to sell stuff"... problem solved.

Enough of the stupid bickering. The rep system isnt there to be abused by petty positive and negative repping, its there as a sign of the users contribution to the forums, not an e-wang.

As to joining the club just to sell things I have to admit I tend not to respond to these questions. In all honesty we don't want people to join the club just to sell things and don't want any forum users to see it that way either. Initally people tried to claim that the rep system for classifieds was just a money spinner to generate more memberships, not realising that the merchandise and insurance premiums for each new membership is almost the entire cost of joining.

I see that you have got some stick here but replied in a controlled and respectful manner and in so doing you have been able to generate some rep from those members that respect your behaviour.

I'm going to lock this thread now as this is over and done with.
