Talking RT104 rear end modifications and differences.

The other day I told you guys about how Toyota tied down the rear end of the GT2000. here are the photos I just scanned in for anyone who has a tail hopping problem after fitting an 18RG into a celica or Corona early live rear end.

leaf springs are bolted to a plate which is pinned via a large rubber bush and bolt.
Locating/Stabiliser arm crosses over top of diff housing like a KMAc bar and also locates live axle permitting up down travel but preventing axle wind up and chatter under full power and body roll. Also stops it walking. Shocks in my case are bilstein suited to Monaro 327, front and rear. stiff as a board..

This info would be handy for anyone with a KE55 or earlier corolla too.
I like RT104s - make nice diff donors for KE30s! Mounts need to be moved in by 16mm from memory (don't quote me).
My rear end has the eyes of the top leaf reversed, instantly drops the rear by about an inch and a half, and helps prevent axle tramp no end - it is a rough ride though.
