There have been a few people asking why they can't rename threads.

In Vbulletin there is no way to enable thread titles to be indefinately renamable. You need to specify a period of time in minutes for the thread to be renamable. the problem with this is that it's added overhead for the server for every thread that is still renamable.

Taking this into account I initially configured this to 30 days, in order to try satiate peoples apparent need to change thread titles and not cause the forum to run like a dog like the old one. Previously I have mentioned I set the titles to be permanantly writable but having looked back over my logs of configuration changes and having discussed the function with the vbulletin guys I was reminded that it was only 30 days.

I have increased this rename period and will test to see if it causes too many issues over the next few days. One thing I am not clear on however is if threads who's edit period has expired will be edittable again.
