Default Brake line issues, Line above master cylinder

    G'day All.

I've just recently installed a line locker on my front brake line system. The line locker istelf works, but it has to sit above the height of the master cylinder to make it accessible. I initially wondered whether this would be a problem, but I noticed that the rear brake line actually goes above the master cylinder too, so I figured it'd be ok.

But, the front brakes aren't up to scratch, like there's air in the lines.

    It sits like this.

Any thoughts? Is there a problem with this setup?

probably needs a good brake beeld to get the air out of the line locker circuit. have you done that?

Bleed it at the linelocker, then where the braided line joins back into original brake circuit, then finaly as you would normaly bleed brakes.

    Not that I can see.
Just needs a good bleed like the others have said.
But maybe instead of removing the lines completely just loosen them where they go into the line locker and this should get the air out as well.

While fitting this thing did the master cylinder go dry, Maybe some air in the master iself if it did.
When you bleed them the first time did you just pump the fluid through or pump up the pedal a few times and then crack the nipple with pressure still applied?

Have found the second method works a traet for me when doing a new system.
My sig has been pruned as it was over 5 lines long.

Detach teh line locker form its mountings and put it below the master cylinder to try and get the air out of it when your bleeding the system. After that your could try pressure bleeding the brakes, you'll have to go to a brake specialist where they pressurise the system to force all the air out it it.

Just out of interest, i thought line-lockers were for use on the rear brakes usually?

Line lockers go in front circuit, push pedal down to engage brakes, switch on line locker, take foot off brake and fronts remain on until linelocker released.
