I agree your neg repping was harsh, however, I have found that over time it works itself out if you're not a complete tool.

The rep has to be attached to a post, in your CP you can find who repped you and what post it was for.
That may answer your question, if not pm the person that negative repped you.

but you would know what thread it was for. look at your post and if you feel it was unjust etc. pm a mod or admin

You will be right, it is only rep.
The only real difference it makes if you want sell some stuff, which is what I first wanted to do, by the time that i got enough rep to sell it I had already sold it to someone from parts wanted thread.
The more that you go on about it more likely you are to cop some more neg rep.

Don't stress too much about it. I had a negative rep less than 24 hours ago. Its pretty funny, you see that most of the neg reps are from anonymous schmucks that aren't worth worrying about. One genius was even having a bitch calling me an idiot while giving me a positive rep. haha!

I always leave my name in my rep comments so the recipient can not only see why I gave/took rep but who did it. I have no desire to play "anonymous assasin" and am man enough to put my name on my comments. It's a pity that there are those who aren't.
