in my experience (not to dispute your claim owen.)

22 seats dont fit 28's without redrilling at least 1 bolt hole.

had 22 seats from a 22 left over and had to fit 1 to my 28.

not a direct bolt in yet still piece o piss.

    Another two:
Early Quaife racks for AE86s were stuffed up, and dont fit properly.
20v and GZE (i think) TPS units rotate in the opposite direction to 16v NA units. Hence not interchangable.

Im pretty damn sure the pulleys are the same as well.
Im currently helping to do a RWD 4age conversion in a ke70.

The engine is a Jap Spec Blue and Black top 4AGE out of an import ae82 FX-GT, we're using everything that was on the engine for the RWD part of it, i see no problems, and i dont see any point in there being RWD and FWD configurations, when they both fit in the intended purposes.

This is based on my own experience and ideally I'd like to have it verified by someone else with two of the same motors, but the gen 1 3sge crank is not the same as the gen 1 3sgte crank. The flywheel bolts in the 3sge are smaller than the 3sgte. It doesn't appear to have been redrilled/tapped for larger bolts.

Anyone else have any info to add here?

    Cheers,
    Dave

Dude, this is the Tech and Conversions forum. If you had read the Guidelines it says :

What you have written is reasonably unintelligable, and infact doesnt add much to the thread at all.

takai, you have made a few posts yourself that are only borderline in adding to the thread. How strict do we have to be?

Not that strict, but with the added web speak its that sort of post which doesnt belong in the T&C forum.

    If he had said:
[quote]When i went down to Toyota to get a new water pump for my 20v they gave me a different part number for the 20v pumps. Therefore 20v pumps are different from 16v pumps.[/quote[
Then that would be a reasonable post.

And now i shall contradict myself from before. When we did the 20v Blacktop conversion we used the RWD water pump pulley as well. I noticed today when the car came back into the shop. I was pretty tired when putting it in.

So basically the pumps interchange but you have to use the correct pulley for the pump (as someone else stated).

one might argue that a PM would've been a better place to say that to him, as now you have made 2 posts in this thread that havent helped anyone (i realise i just did one too, but it needed to be said)

the amount of people who make comments about how comments dont add to the thread not realisign theirs is exactly the same

TE72 and AE71 gearbox crossmembers are NOT interchangable.

AE86 one works in AE71 but doesnt use all 4 bolt holes

Front side windows from AE82 Hatch and Seca cant be swapped. You will have about an inch gap where the A pillar joins the roof.

Curiosly the AE82 Seca and AE92 Hatch windows ~looked~ very similar at the wreckers. I cant gurantee they will be an exact fit tough.
