TRD-spec Australia day BBQ/meet [UPDATED - BBQ only - no cruise]

G'day everyone. It's Aus day on the 26th January, and you'll all invited to our BBQ minicruise event. Obviously a Toyota focused meet, but bring what you got.

Meeting point shall be at Glen Waverly at some parking lot next to the train station
It's off railway parade.

Attached is a tiny map pointing where parking is
Date: 26th January 2006
Meet Location: Some parking lot near train station, Railway parade, Glen Waverly
Cruise: We've decided to cancel the cruise portion and make it a short one straight from Glen Waverly to Brickmakers Park due to the weather
Destination: Brickmakers Park, Oakleigh off stamford Rd. Refer to c2888's post down the bottom
Time: 11am - Please try to make it at that time.

If you're coming could you please post or pm me and let me know if you can bring anything to help the bbq.

No dangerous driving please - It will not be tolerated and will require you be removed from the cruise, or at least do a little dance.

just a reminder - the classic celica club seem to have organised a meet/cruise on the same day , maybe you want to combine them both for an australia day meet , save splitting numbers

Ooh I didn't see that.. I've already organised a few things even though it's a small cruise thing.. so i doubt I could combine it.. Sounds like they have their own plans too already unless they wanna meet us at Jells Park..

We've decided to just make it a bbq. Cruise straight from Glenny to Jells park due to the weather. Also it's Jells park, so if you wanna bring soccer balls, or other balls if you got any .. or cards or whatever .. feel free to. Nothing has really been planned, except for just bbq and having fun

Could be some problems with cooking meat on the day, as jells is wood only. and being 40 deg forecast look like we won't be allowed to start fires
looking into dragging a gas bbq along, will find out if we can even have gas, yay, we can have gas, boo there's no gas there

here we will bbq and drink and much fun will be had, till we pass out from the heat.
There is a big undercover area here, so you won't get burnt grant
but the bbqs are in the sun, what a good idea
