I need to sell some stuff...

guys, i have a couple things off my celica gt4 that i need to sell...
i know that you have to have soo much good feedback or whatever it is.
what i want to know is.. can you pay to become a member just to sell some parts? i have asked to pay for membership a couple times already and no one has ever got back to me. i am thinking it is because i only want to sell stuff so i just get rejected or something.

i'm not trying to do the wrong thing here and list what i want to sell, so don't ask. i just want to know how i can sell it quickly. i have been a member here for a while, well i was on the old forums anyway, i just never talk on here cause i'm always soo busy on ns.com.

can anyone tell me what is the quickest and easiest way to just sell a few things so i can afford to do up my gt4???

hey.

this thread is gonna get locked straight away.....they started the forums as a technical database/helpcenter etc and not as a trading post.

the general car section isn't even the section you should be posting this kind of question in?

in short my guess would be no....even paying as memeber won't allow to just sell a few things and not contribute ever again?

what attitute? and why the wrong forum? i have a general question that i'd like to ask about these forums, why not post it in the general section?
also i have messaged the moderators and haven't had reply's, this was months ago.

all i want to know is if you can become a member in order to sell a few things.

i'm not worried if the thread gets shut down, as long as a moderator will pm me and at least talk to me.

I'm sure a mod or board member will get back to you. In the future you might have better luck putting a thread like this in the membership and feedback section, it's more likely to get the attention you require there (and not in a bad way like it has here)

why not make a contribution to the forums so that you can post your ads without having to pay?
and seeing as you have made it clear you only want to use toymods for advertising purposes your application for membership would more then likely be rejected i think

It should be in the feedback section as its a general question about selling and membership.

Yes, once you're a member you have the ability to sell stuff. However, I am not sure if the Board will like someone joining just to sell stuff. We like to have people that can contribute to the technical sections of these forums ( except for Rona

).

I understand that selling Toyota stuff to people here is helping... but not sure if the Board would like more out of its members.

Anyway, if you want to contact someone ('cos you've had no replies form your email) click on the "Membership" tab at the top of the forum page and scroll down until you see the phone numbers for Josh (President) and Stitt (Membership Secretary) and give them a buzz to get things moved along.

I don't see what the big fuss is about. The guy knows that you have to have xx amount of reputation to sell things, has said that he doesn't have the time split between NS and Toymods, but yet he hasn't got a problem for paying for membership so that he can abide by the rules?

Thats my opinion though, maybe I am looking at this from the wrong angle

Firstly, I'm going to move this thread to the "Membership & Feedback" Section, where it should've been started in the first place. If you've done that, you may've gotten an answer quicker as all board embers get an email notification of new threads in that section.

Secondly, people coming onto the Toymods forum simply to sell stuff easily & for free was an extremely big problem on the last forum, & hence the reason why a new clean one was started with stricter sign up rules.

We DO NOT want people joining our forum simply to sell stuff, we want them to activately contribute to the combined technical knowledge.

That being said, you're currently on a rep of 22. You need 30 to have full access to the classifieds.
Its not hard to get. I've gotten 21 rep for today alone for one new thread (admitted when that thread has a way for the guy with the most rep power on the forum to save money, that helps

)

Put up a members ride thread about your GT4 build up or share some of the tech details of that build-up, people do like that kind of thing.

yes i would love to spend more time here, and when it was the old forums i used to spend a bit of time on here, but never really posted.
i am a site moderator on nissansilvia.com and unfortunately that takes up all my time, so there isn't any way i can spend any time on this site too without not having a life off the computer...

anyway sorry, i didn't realise there was a membership forum, i must have misread it or just completely missed it. now that i go back to the main page i can see it clearly

anyway i was just trying to find out how i can abide by the rules. and not stuff everyone around as i can appreciate you guy's having a site that is about helping people out (like what ns.com used to be like....

)

i'm gonna list the stuff on ebay, hopefully i'll sell it there, but i'm not after much money so you guy's will just have to check it out there if you want a bargain

what the f*ck? how did this guy get 12 rep points in the last 4 hours?

not that it matters, as you will likely have 11th billion reps in a short while, but if you were to organise having a mate sell things for you, why would you ask if it was ok here? i have seen loads of "selling for a mate" threads on here, nad haven;t batted more than one eyelash at any of them.

i have mates on here that could quite easily sell stuff for me, but isn't that against the rules? being a moderator myself i get sick of cleanin shit up on forums, so i'd prefer to just do it right the first time.

also i hadn't realised i got rep points, but one person gave me some for abiding by the rules, and another was from a guy that i helped out with his car off the forums.

Dunno about the rep points, but having a look through the post history, it all looks like pretty legit tech and other such enquiries/answers to me.
Maybe others who've looked at this thread have looked up the history too & decided that he's actually putting in some effort to the other areas of the forum & isn't just a keyboard warrior.

Like I said, one good thread can get you bulk points (I'm now up 27 today from the one and only thread I started today, so 12 isn't that big a deal).

And yes, thank you Tai_180sx for at least asking first. It is appreciated (even if it was in the wrong spot
