    Default Another air suspension problem

My air suspension sometimes drops the left side, front and back and stops responding. I can adjust the height of the front or rear on the drivers side, but the passenger side just sits on the bump stops.

I have to reset it and then it is fine for an undetermined amount of time. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Also, has anyone had a complete aftermarket airbag setup installed in their car? like the entire kit, new bags, bigger compressor and tanks etc, I would be interested in doing this, if it will end my problems, no I don't want coil overs.

Any ideas? some people tell me either the sensors or the ECU or both, but how do I check it, this whole thing is a nightmare, but I like the concept of air suspension and when it was working, it was nice.

If anybody knows a place in brisbane that installs the after market setups, that look to be far superior to the celsiors, please let me know.

ok have you tried removing the controller and reverting back to the stock settings via the normal height control ecu?

also what year is your celsior and what numbers on the switches on the back of the height controller do you have selected? i.e. mine has 1-5 and for it to run properly I need to have 2 and 5 switched on

Witzl's crown used to do this when his airbags were leaking... the car would get to a point where it was riding the bump stops and the controller would crack it until it was reset or the car raised manually (with a jack) to a point that was within its normal operating range.

Hey thanks for the replies, yeah I feared it was an airbag shitting itself.

How do I revert back to the standard height control switches? just unplug the aftermarket controller? or do I need to do somethin else?

Anyone know somewhere around brissy that would be able to fit an aftermarket system?

DUST, your aftermarket height controller, should have a "no"/ "nor" selection. Select that setting, and the system will revert to original ECU operation. If not, you will have to disconnect the patch cable at the cars height control ECU.

    cheers Chuck.

ps. a bit of a google will bring up a coupla US sites, that sell aftermarket replacement bags. From memory about $800.00 for a full set front and rear!
