dunno if it'll cause the problems you say but have you checked your battery clamps are fully tight?
hey, when i thrash the shit out of the 3t-c, the chage light flashes and sometimes stays on, this does not happen when driving slowly. only occurs when revving the motor hard..
rooted alternator?
other ideas...
cheers

Yeah I would say the alt.Originally Posted by Stomps

Next thing they know the thing isn't working at all cause it is simply worn out and the charge light doesn't come on at all.
Had a leco tell me that one so yeah have it checked.
My sig has been pruned as it was over 5 lines long.
Torque twist pulling the engine whilst thrashing it could be pulling on the wires to the alternator. Combination of possibly worn engine mounts and dirty plug on the alternator. Worth looking into. Is it internal regulator?
my corona was doing the same thing, and when i pulled apart the alternator the diode things had come off their plate and were tapping and dancing around. i tried to solder them back on but they wouldn't stick, so i had to get another alternator.
beer me!
My car does the same thing, i bought a brand new OEM alternator, brand new battery (old one died from running it flat too many times from this problem) and its still doing it. So i assume mine is the regulator (these are externally regulated), and i havnt even opened it to have a look yet. - so dont rule the regulator out.

If the prongs and way out the its done
moppy: what was the fuse labled as?

ok, battery clamps tight, plug onto back of alternator tight...
i talked to a few people bout this, most said it will be the alternator itself..
