Hi Charles
Sounds like a good day I will be checking it out for sure.
I may even have a car to enter by then. If i ever get one i will be joining the club asap.
Daniel.
This year's Toyota Car Club Qld Show'n'Shine will be held at Hawkins' Garden Centre, Old Cleveland Rd, Chandler on Sunday 24th September.
All Toyotas are welcome to attend and enter. Trophies and prizes will be on offer, and cars will be judged in classes on their condition and appearance, so get cleaning soon!
The centre has a very nice restaurant where you can get anything from soft drinks and a sandwich to full meals with beer or wines, as well as an art gallery and other things to see (including, of course, lots of gardening stuff).
Judging will be in a shaded lawn area adjacent to the main building, and cars entering the competition should be at the Centre between 8.30 and 9.15 am so we can sort out the various classes before judging.
A $5 entry fee per competing car applies.
If possible, could those intending to enter please advise John Lapworth either by phone on 33765271 or email at [email protected] or [email protected] by the Thursday prior so that we have an idea of how many cars to expect on the day.
All are welcome to come and look over the cars during the day if you choose not to enter....there will be clear signage throughout the Centre directing visitors to where the Show'n'Shine is.
There will be a cruise afterwards (approx 2pm) to Wellington Poin thru the Bayside area.

the club is open for members not owning toyotas i believe....Originally Posted by Munki
yup.. you don't need to own a toyota to join teh club ... nor do you need to be a member to enter the show and shine.
Because it's part of the club's yearly competition, some Show-n-Shine prizes will be given out at our yearly Presentation dinner. The People's Choice prize/trophy is given out on the day, as will a few other popular classes. The resd will get a certificate on the day and trophy on presentation night (or via mail/delivery if you don't want to come).
A big thanks for those who came to look and those who showed off the cars:
A small turn out of just 20 cars on display for judging, some new faces and a some very familiar.
We'll be making some award announcements at this tuesday's (October 3) club meeting (best car overall & owner's choice) with the rest announced at the club's annual presentation dinner.
See out website for more details on the dinner.
