    Default 4xBosch Coils + Wold 3D = Yes/No??

Hey all. I had a Microtech LTX-8 put into my Sprinter, and I purchased 4x Bosch Coils at the same time to run with computer, but when JEM did the wiring they couldn't use the coils with the Microtech, Adam said why but I can't remember. Anywho, does anyone know if the coils would run fine with a Wolf 3D? The guy who wants to buy the coils who has a Wolf isn't sure either and I don't think he has a Wolf manual to flick through to see if it has anything about it in there.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Daniel.

Going from the pics in your other thread they are HEC715s, which will work perfectly (if paired with suitable ignitors) on anything from a Microtech (may need reprogramming from MT themselves) right through to a Motec.

If he has the right ignitor/igntion module itll be fine.

Not sure why they would have avoided wiring up the coils... the microtech EFI site says LT8's have 4 ignition outputs - they need a cam signal as well as a rpm trigger to run sequential spark.

They even have a PDF (warning: 1.9Mb file) of how to wire it - and the MTX - up to run direct fire coils on a toyota that has a CAS with the 24 tooth wheel and two single-tooth wheels.

Microtech's diagram suggests their ECU has built-in ignitors.

The Wolf3D version 4 install manual says you NEED ignitors to drive coils - it only outputs a +5v signal.
