They're non interference. Line everything up to TDC whack on a new belt and all should be good.
I'd be worried about why the belt broke to begin with!
Sorry about the topic name I have poor speeling skills but try my best.
I have friend who has a 4afe motor in his corolla and it has recently spit the timing belt. He doesnt have access to a compression test and is wondering if he has bent any valves or broken anything else. I know that 16v 4age motors will not break anything if the timing belt goes but am not 100 percent about the 4afe as they have a different head. The motor will turn over and doesnt make any bad noises as such.
Any advice appreciated.
