Default Higher comp pistons for 4agze ?

Hey guys i just wanna clarify this please .. i own a afm 4agze with the lower 8.0.1 piston compression. Say if i bought a set of forged arias pistons at 9.0.1 or above compression ratio.. will it make my car any faster with the help of it revving naturally with higher compression and the boost of the sc12 ? Thinking out loud the map 4agze does quicker times and higher kw outputs due to higher compression ratios and slightly smaller pulley.

Since the arias are higher compression forged pistons you would think they could handle the boost ( 11psi ), as stock 4age pistons can handle 10 lb of turbo boost before blowing.

Its just i have access to some cheap arias at 9 + ratio and thinking of slapping them in.
    Any comments will be welcome!

    Thanks Reece

There was a thread about this not long ago. Higher comp pistons dont make your car "rev more naturally".

All the info's out there, just need to search it

    how ever.

i believe that if the only change you made was upping the comp ratio,
    you will get more power.

Power is basically pressure pushing the piston down, and with the same boost and more comp ratio, you have more pressure in there.

the higher compression requires different ECU mapping. if you have a stock computer, this is not a clever move. all you will get is more detonation and lower power. if you want your ZE to go better, always buy the very best fuel you can get, and buy a proper computer before doing any mods to it.

    kind of the same.
Detonation may or m,ay not occour around 3-400- rpm, but the knock sensor should compensate, and they dont run that close to the limit if your on good fuel anyway,

and above 5000 detonation is very very unlikely and that is where the higher comp will makre it's difference.

I have an ems stinger already and all the mods for the gze .. only thing left is bigport cams and raise compression.

The only reason i suggested this is that a mate of mine put a sc12 on hes 100kw smallport and pulled 117 kw with standard sc12 pulley
