for ref, a peak and hold driven injector might top out around 4A per injector during the peak, but that is very short, so even if the maximum current is say.. 8x4A = 32A, the actual average current is much lower (hold around 1A).. so if you have sayy.. 1 or 2ms peak, then 10ms hold... i dunno.. it's less
20A sounds rather high.. but if it is safe for the drivers, then why not (also depends how fast the fuse blows.. a slow blow should have no prob with the short peak..)

The bit which reminded me is when i wanted to switch injectors i had to change the fuse over as i kept blowing it.

Stu - im thinking that aftermarket ECU's flick over to regular PWM when you set it to high impedance injectors in the tuning software.

It's typically low impedance injectors that need a peak and hold output..... thanks to Ohms law and shit.

... at least that would make sense to me?
    ...... butt scratcher?!

ahh.. i read it wrong my bad....
    youse are right

hmm, high impedance (12ohms) pull about 1 amp each, total.. so it's easier to work out the total current needed..

i'll go back to my hole

Looking more and more like the drivers for some reason? They were working and i saw the damn thing running fine. Thinking best option is just to send it off to Haltec to wack on their test rig...only way i'll know for sure.

Well it was pretty simple in the end...still not sure why but now sorted. I still had the stock 12v feed to the coil hooked up and it was this 12v signal that was causing all the issues...stuffed if i know ?? It did mean the pump was running full time so maybe a power draw issue?? Whatever it's running sweet on seq injection at idle and sounds tough

Probably the voltage differential across the injector wasnt enough to trigger the switch when firing. Usually as you say due to other things running on the same line.

Glad to hear she is running now.

Hmmm an update. Looks like the stock 12v ignition source was causing a problem but it wasn't the only one, just masked another intermittant fault. The 13.8v feed to the dissy also supplies the injector trigger in some way...i get a random loss of this power feed so injectors/ignition drops out. I can get ignition back by sourcing another 12v source but basically i'm going to have to strip the loom and find the dodgy section of wire/connection....ain't wiring a bitch

j/ks mate, hope you get it sorted soon.

I'm only online for 2 secs, so don't have a chance to read the whole post, but i'll get to it soon and see if anything obvious to me makes an appearance.
