mz20 cruise control?

hi I have a soarer mz20, it has what i think is a cruise control lever just on the right behind the steering wheel, although im not certain as the everything is labled in japanese, when i flick it there is not cruising to be had, does anyone know if this is the cruise control or or is it just busted if it dont work?

There is a separate on/off button somewhere, not sure of its location.

But as for the stalk,
pull towards = cancel
flick up = resume/accel
flick down = set/decel

press the auto drive (A/D) switch until the light is on, and then you can use the stalk to control cruise control. only works above 40km/h as far as i know.

edit: the AD button is to the right of the steering wheel... on the dash

hah yeah that makes sense cos thats just that a/d button is busted

My cruise control also doesn't work, but by the look of it, some of the stuff might be missing under the bonnet. There appears to be a vacuum pump, but I can't see how it controls the throttle.

Can someone post an annotated photo or similar so that I can see what is missing? (I guess even a description of the parts would help.)

Also, does anyone know where you can get an MZ20 steering boss which lets you keep cruise control?
