Default 4 link setup with coil overs

ive been looking into putting a 4link and coil overs into the lux been looking at the different types of setups which serve different purposes, i have a few mates with them but there using them with air bag setups and not for aiding traction.

i have a few concerns even with the power that there putting out which is far less to what i plan to put out is that they axel tramp depending on the kit used.

so has anyone had any experience in the use of them and what sought did you use, then theres bushed bars to make it a little smoother i guess but then allows slight movement, if you use the solid rod ends is it going to be rough as guts to drive on the street and i guess it will make a little more noise.

so heres a few examples of the kits ive been looking at.

theres 2 look similar, now im not sure why one looks to be welded onto the outside and the other one slid along the diff housing and then welded.

    the "street 4 link"

    then theres triangle 4 links

and the list goes on and on.

so any help would be greatly appreciated.

the 4 link setup at the top looks like it is designed for drag racing (is that what the car is intended to do?)

to reduce noise, you could use bushes all round, or just on the ends of the links that mount to the body.

with any of the three top photos, you would need to run a panhard rod or watts link for lateral location, in the one at the bottom the "triangle" top links do this.

you are right about the sliding (and welding) vs welding on, the slide on mopunt would take a lot of effort to get on, would have to basically remake the whole diff, i;d just do with the weld on mount.

the slide on would be a bit stronger, but i don;t think it owuld be worth the extra effort.

The slide on ones will be for use with a full custom diff setup where you are narowing the housing anyway. Will be stronger but not really a concern for a street vehicle.

I woud definitely use poly or rubber bushes if you are going to drive it on the street.

With the rose jointed 4-link in an ae86 it is pretty noisey.

yer im most likely going to get one from mc donald bros, they seem to have a good range for all different applications

i can get them from mini truck sites, but they dont seem as good of a quality with minimal info on them and are less willing to help with a selection
