you are going to be attacked by the spelling gnome.

this is one of the most popular conversions and there is loads of info on it, check rollaclub.com and the old toymods forum.

modifying the 2t, 2tg, 3t engines has also been covered and building a 3tg hybrid from a
2tg complete motor and some 3t parts is also on there.

    basically:

its a bolt in fit with some mods to the mounting of the engine using ta22 mounts.

gearbox t50 will even bolt up to the second gearbox holes in the trans tunnel

you will need to convert to hydro clutch, use ta22 clutch pedal and weld method onto
ke box or some other ways have been done too.

i think the tailshaft may need to be modded, cant remember at the moment.

thats a start on it anyway, there is almost full guides on how to do it, check google too.

ok this is what i done for mine.

    get some ta22 engine mounts.
chop the flat plate of them which bolts to the block.
    make new flat plate.

now fit gearbox and bolt up using the rear holes on the chassis.
line up you motor how you want it to sit.
get the angled bits of the engine mounts end re-grind the angle to suit engine position.
once that is done you can tack weld them in place then remove for finishing weld.
there are a few ways to do the clutch.
all of them will be a pain in the ass to do.

with a radiator i had my ta22 recored into a 3 core an only minimal work to fit that.
you cant run the engine fan, you need a thermo on the radiator.

    thats pretty much it
hope this helped you a bit

    i wasn't trying to be a smartarse...

toyota released a T series powered KE20 from the factory.

so.... it has on it everything you need to do to change a KE20 to a TE20.

there are many many sites for TE27's. many pictures of all parts of the cars.... compare to yours... and it should tell you quite a lot.

i was going to mention that, but i thought he did KE30/TE30?
KE10/20(i think KE20 too... KE20 have bolts 1" wider on each rail too)) have 28" apart chassis rails, KE30 28.5" and KE70 30/31" (from bolt holes...
