Securing your number plate

Torx screwws should work a treat and you should be able to pull them off later....

These come off with an appropriately sized flathead also... I have dealt with almost all security screws on the market and a flathead defeats most of them.

I think more people would try to steal your screws than your plates with these things... look rather attractive don't they!

ahhh isnt that just a 12 point bolt head - any socket will undo that and YES they would go missing quick smart.

Like the irish couple next door to us. The husband ripped off his wifes plates, put them on his car and stole some petrol. He's now really confused how they caught him!

Fill full of hotmelt, and it will stump most would be theives. They arent as clever as most toyota owners I can get into and drive away a falcon (at least up to EA) in about 10 mins... packing tape for the door, and then flat head and a ball pein for the ignition mounting bolt (the one with no head)

All bolts are undoable somehow, just need to find something that will stump the average would be theif.

And if you dont have it?? Like when you work for a wrecker and somebody brings one in to be wrecked with the key snapped half off in the lock?? Quicker than digging through the dish of keys.

Why not a totally round head bolt but put on a normal hex nut (or winged nut) from the back?

Then you get glass in ya arse, and still have the steering lock on. Takes less than a minute with packing tape.

Yes i know, only having a lend!
and for those with later model cars that lock there keys in, packing tape with two small stips of 80grit paper hot glues to the inside V of the packing tape.

ever thought of wing nuts ?? And just taking the plates off when you go out for tea or the movies ??

Hammer and a punch will quickly fix pop rivets, and leave you with dings.
