    Default boosters and masters

Does anyone no the difference between ST 204 and 205 brake boosters and master cylinders, and also ST 184 and ST 185 ones.

I remember somewhere that the bolt pattern between the 204 and 205 masters was different. Cant remember how, but the 205 bolted up to a stock booster where the 204 didnt.

Probably has a larger bore too to compensate for those 4spotters at the front.

    bore size is the same (23.81mm) for 184, 185, 204 and 205
im can only find one part no for the 205, which is the same as the abs one for the 204, there is also a part no for a non abs 204. rebuild kits are also the same part no for 184 and 185. thats about all the info i can find

    I'd debate that info STR8 2.8 - I've got a ST205 M/C in the shed from a group A with a bore of 26.7mm from memory.

fair enough, im just reading from a brake catalogue. perhaps there is more than one available, and the 15/16" is the only one this catalogue has or something.

26.7 is over an inch and toyota dont use bigger than 1 inch on cars , 15/16 is 23.8mm from memory and if thats stamped into it then that will be the size unless someone has sleeved it.
    I wonder what the 1 inch st184 is from . its a 3 bolt m/c whereas the 204 /205 is 2 bolt .
i would have thought that with the 4 pots on the 205 it would use a 1 in m/c , but maybe the are only 15/16.
    Keep the info coming boys.

    the 205 and 185 have a 1" MC i thought?

cambelt, why not go with an MA70 one out of a 1/2 cut? Plenty floating round...thats if youre using it for a conversion...

because i have 2 and 3 bolt boosters , so ma 70 wont fit as its 4 bolt.
Local 185 and 204 seem to be 15/16 but yes i have a jdm 185 and its 1 inch , (must be from an ABS car)
