are you looking for power, or just to get it running or?
There are lots of corolla KE70's around etc (later model early 80's) that the motor will bolt into. Or you could go the adventurous route and put a celica twin cam motor in. This being 2tg, or an 18rg or even a 3tgte turbo. All of these require fabricated engine mounts etc though.
thanks for ya help guys i will post some pics of the car soon it will be just to get it running at firs soon down the track i am hoping to push for some power some thing along the lines of a turbo conversion cheers ben
just start with 3K, 4K or 5K, whichever you can easily get your hands on, and then worry about conversion later
or, get a 4K block, whack on the current head and you have 10:1.. get a half decent cam (260-270deg adv) and have a little bit of fun in the meantime

or get a 7K if u can find one.
Now targeting, people who are now targeting!!
i thought the 7K required abit of work due to its huge stroke?
no not as far as i know it should bolt straight in, i think they come in EFI though, but thats an easy fix.

Easy fix? If you're talking about getting rid of EFI, that ain't no fix - that's a crime!Originally Posted by suss_slide
I'd probably be looking at sticking a 4AG in it myself. Not too hard, and gives you a base for something to play with later.
7K does require mods because sump is deeper and wider. and block is also taller.
the EFI is the best bit ????????????
if anything, junk the rest and stick the EFI on a 4K or 5K
or just go simple 4AG.

4AGe has cost associated with getting a eng cert which is sad
i meant as in easy to fix the efi solution by gettin a fuel pump!!
