Crowns switched from full chassis to monocoque some time ago. I think MS123 was the last of the full chassis ones, but I could be wrong there.

Matteh, HSD make coilovers for JZS161, so we're hoping they will also suit the JZS147.
If they do, there's some coilovers for your Aristo. $1599 retail.

    Cheers,

    Jeremy.

Mos, sorry for trhe delay, but yeeh, the UZS131 Crown, was the last one with a full chassis. Any Crown/Aristo after 1990 were unibody construction.

    cheers Chuck.

Have a look on the Tein site, specifically:
    http://www.tein.com/lexus.html
    and http://www.tein.com/toyota.html

JZS147 only has a comfort sports version (CST) with part number GST56-K1SS3.
The GST part appears to signify the version of suspension, with the 56 being specific to the application. I have no idea what the K1SS3 means.

*Z30 and JZA80 use 18 and 60 with various combinations of letters. JZS160 uses 76 and 98. It would indicate they are different, but they could still be similar enough to fit.

Interestingly the springs are the same length, albeit a different rate: front 147 - SM070-01250, 160 - SM090-01250. They are 250mm in length and 7kg/mm and 9kg/mm in stiffness. Rears are 300mm with 5 and 8 kg/mm respectively.

If you click to view a photo you will have a table of available versions for a specific car and most have installation instructions. There are diagrams on the last two pages with part numbers that you may be able to use to narrow down your search. Unfortunately the JZS147 ones are not on it, so it might not be that useful, but can still give you some ideas...

These are the IS200 ones in Flex. As you can see there really isn't much too them. Nipple mount on the lower control arm, and non-rotating upper mount - the factory rubber mount could be used instead of the pillow ball. The ABS cable tab isn't that important and some versions of the Teins use a clamping ring instead of the tab.

I'll try to take a photo of the tems jzs147 shock but there's no springs or mounts. If the lower control arm nipple is the same size, and the shock rod diameter is the same (allowing original jzs147 strut tower mount) then only length becomes the issue.

In addition, the IS200 set also fits the JZX110 (as per Japanese instruction manual), whereas the instructions in this http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e60600275 seem to only specify JZS147 so it's possible there is no direct replacement.

When will you have your car?

    Chuck: Ok, cool, thanks

    Mos.
