3t twin spark dizzy

ok i want to install my 3tgte dizzy how do i get it lined up to fire correctly, engine is on top dead centre cyl 1 firing. any tips do the plugs fire at the same time or what?? thats what i mainly need to know

They both fire at same time.

Make sure that not 180 degrees out, though you do say that it is on no1 TDC firing.

Rotate engine backwards slightly so that timing mark is lined up with pointer. (go past and then rotate forward again so that timing train has slack taken up)

Line distributor rotor button up with no 1 lead post, when you insert distributor the rotor will turn a bit so need to allow for that.

Ignore the twin plugs and time as normal.
