    Default Steering arm and ball joint problem

    Hows it going guys,

    I have a problem tightening the nut for the the steering arm and ball joint on the outer tie rod. What is the tool called to tighten that nut and where can i get that tool.

    The same thing happened to me and I just figured the thing was buggered and replaced it, then the new ones didnt spin at all, so I would say thats yours has had it too.

    Bit confused which bit you are talking about.

    If you are talking about the tie rod end into steering arm on hub a bit of downward pressure on the top of the tie rod end with tyre lever or like usualy has enough pressure to stop the taper turning in the steering arm.

    If tie rod end onto tie rodmake sure you aren't trying to join a right hand thread and left hand thread item.

    thanks guys the thread on both the nut and ball joint is fine just tough to rotate. stopping the joint from rotating is the tricky bit but will try it again tomorrow when theres daylight.
