that makes it cheaper then, just get the tokicos and custom rate front and rear springs.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas

why not go decent and just ket Koni yellow strut inserts as im now doing? no modifying needed, fully adjustable and a LOT better quality than tokico
What on earth gave you the idea you can't buy Koni strut inserts in Australia? As already mentioned I have them in my car, and I bought them here in Brisbane. I know stacks of other people with Konis too, and they all bought locally.
Norbie!

Not as of yet. Apparently there isn't an MA61 listing, but you just get the RA60 strut insert which is the same thing more or less.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas

have a look at that, page 37 under Toyota Australia.
its alright, id rather buy the one suited to the car, not something thats close.
WIlbo and i have sourced some out of the states, so are going to buy pairs to save on post.
The ones from the states are only reds though, by mixing and matching from other manufacturers you are able to get yellows.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas

Besides most of them have been tried and tested by other here and in the states baachy for example was using koni yellows of different models can't remeber which ones but some searching would turn up the answer.

looks like yellows to me.
tried and tested by people on here means exactly what? Have they tried 5 different types to see whats better? I mean toyota genuine shocks are good too, but it all depends what you want from them? A nice cushy ride? then theres a good one for that. However i after something with a bit stiffer, due to the extra weight ive put in the front of the car.
Baachy was building his as a circuit car, my bad I always thought the ones listed on 935 were reds hadn't checked for a while though.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas

OK seeing as how my name was dropped
This is what I have so far...
MA61
Koni
Front: 86-2328 Red (Classicgarage.com)
Front: 86-1991 Yellow (Classicgarage.com)
Front: 8641-1221 Sport (Toyota MR2 SW20 Rears)
Rear: 8040-1064 Yellow (Classicgarage.com)
Rear: 28-1131 Red
Rear: 8240-1115 Sport (BMW E36 Rears)
Rear: 30-1599 Sport (RAV4 Rears Externally Adj)
KYB
Rear: 741067 (Ford Focus Rears)
Front: 765016 (Toyota MR2 SW20 Rears)
Tokico
Front: BZ3074 (935motorsports.com)
I myself am leaning towards the Tokicos (https://935motorsports.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=133)
I haven't been able to track down any info really for Tokico stuff...are they rebuildable is my main question!
The Koni 2005applguide.pdf shows that 86- are not externally Adjustable, something I quite want for the front! So I think they will be ruled out as an option for me.
Norbie are you running the RAV4 struts in the front of yours (I think you are from my memory...).
If it turns out the Tokico's are not rebuildable then I will prbly go with the RAV4 Koni's (yellows).
Cheers
Wilbo
