    Default Toymods Perth/Event

Eyy, Perth crew. I'm looking to organise something in late January after I get my new springs in, probably the last weekend in Jan.

All Toyotas welcome, modified or not. Also members driving non-toyotas are welcome, but I'd like to avoid other clubs crashing the party.

Note this will NOT be a cruise, more a carpark bonnets up get to know each other event. Might even throw the gas barbie in the back of the starlet. Bring along your project car, your daily driver, whatever, and we'll bask in the joys of being a toymodder.

    Register your interest here!

    EDIT

OK, the majority have chosen sunday, so sunday it is. The venue will be Gwelup Lake Reserve, on Huntriss Road off Karrinyup road (If you were going towards the sea, you'd turn right)

The time will be 12 Noon, food will be mostly BYO but I'll be bringing sausages/buns in case someone forgets/has to come from work etc. I'll probably grab a carton of soft drink and some buns and sell hot dogs/drinks in limited quantities, but yeah byo if you can.

It's a quiet location so if you wanna bring a few beers etc, by all means do so, but keep in mind some of you might want to go off for some spirited driving. I won't have my new springs in by the looks of things so I won't be in for that.

OK so tell your toyota associates, I wanna see at least 20 cars, spread the word around. Come in your shitter if your car's not ready, even if it's a falcodore, I don't mind, but try to avoid bringing people from other clubs if they might start arugments etc. Just show them to this thread.

Ok I hope to see you all sunday.

Dude I would love to see some exotic Tourer and Celsior/LS400 action Happening. Bring that shit on. Once I have enough interest registered (over 10 cars) I'll put the word out among some of the bigger misc. car clubs like Antifag etc.

I dislike a lot of them too. the invite would be extended to toyota drivers only, probably via PM. There's a few soarers and supras in the group.

I don't want 30 Skylines rocking up and going "WTF IS THIS SHIT *snort* PING IS POWAH!!!" anymore than you do mate.

I think it's slated for late January. I should have a few more things done to my SX by then too.

my new cars currently without an engine, with one on the way, and SHOULD be here mid january.

i really dislike the antilag boys just because of their strict "high horsepower only" policy.

The exception being TJ, he is a champ.

Yeah TJ, Tristan and a lot of the core-members of that club are actually really nice, down to earth guys. As always it's the few that spoil it for the masses - in this case a crew of elitist jocks sporting high-powered nissans, with all the work done in a workshop, none by themselves, using name brand off the shelf parts in a tried and tested formula - no risks, just money. Kinda like most of the cars in Hot 4s etc. Not the toymods way of shrewdly putting parts together (cross member here, larger/better engine there, brakes off one car, diff off a hilux etc) for as little money as possible. DIY bitches.

That's my main gripe with those guys, they're checkbook mechanics, they rely on people like us to do all the work for them. But some of their toyota-driving members are good blokes. on one cruise I met two blokes with GZ20s, a guy with an AE92, Matt with his AE86 and a few others that were all genuinely good blokes.

But yeah rest assured I won't be issing any open invites to those clubs, just nabbing some of their members.

-edit- Yeah definately LATE january, early feb. I need to put some new springs in the car and they won't be ARRIVING in the state until about the 2nd/3rd week of january..
