    Default threads that need deleting/locking

thought this may be easyier than PM'ing the moderators everytime.... other people can add theirs and then a mod can do all the requests at once! maybe even make a sticky from it?

so here are 4 that i want deleted. the cars from the said adds are all long gone now

    MS112
    AE71
    MX62
    MX83

    and finally, to lock;

    hilux callipers

if its a bad idea then just delete this thread too

i thought the for sale threads were just going to be locked.. so ppl have a reference for pricing at a later date?

fair point although for the cars i wrecked, i didnt list each item with a price. it more a situation of ask if i got it, then PM to discuss prices.

that is also why i said to lock the for sale thread with the hilux callipers rather than delete

All those threads have now been locked. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

Not sure if its in the rules & guidelines, but I may have previously asked people to reply at the end when the goods have sold, been found, gotten rid of, etc. Not just editing the title. No one gets an email notification if you edit a post.

I don't moderate the classifieds by viewing the website, but I get an email notification of every post.
So if I see one that says "Now sold" or something similar, I open the thread & close it.

The software does have a feature wheeby its supposed to automatically lock a thread if its been inactive for a set period, but this feature doesn't seem to be working

I think you've read that wrong.
My suggestion is to change the title of the 1st post to add the word "SOLD" somewhere o that anybody viewing the forum can see from the thread title that there's no point looking, but then to add a reply at the end with "Sold" or other such wording (obviously with more than 10 characters)

I've set up a separate email address dedicated to it, which groups the replies from the same section together (basically one big email per section per day).
It currently stands at around 100 messages but was over 500 when I got back from Europe cos no other board sucker wants to moderate the classifieds

    No, do the maths.
100 threads with 6 or 7 sections with one email per day per section. You figure out where I'm up to....

Maybe I shold close this thread while I'm ahead.
