I would be more worried about your spigot bearing.

That needs to be firmly located in your crank/flywheel to support the front of the gearbox input shaft, if not you will keep killing clutches and probably input shaft bearing in your gearbox.

would it be ok if i machine up a better version of that spacer and press it into the flywheel?
it seems to be ally so if i made a steel one that is held in tight....

Yes a steel one pressed into flywheel or Crank would be the way to go.

the adaptor plate looks to be about 20mm and yes with the spacer the spigot is centered in the flywheel,i assume the original idea was just to space it back althogh they havent implemented it very well......

ok so why cant you just run the spigot in the flywheel ??

if it is cos the hole size is different you can find a bearing to suit from cbc or somewhere like that.

Or is there something more to it that im missing ???

yea well i may be able to that,i will mock it all up together again and check if that alone will reach the input shaft
    great idea!
    thanks,
    Ryan

also when comparing flywheel/cltuch sizes i have read there is 215mm and 225 ones
where are these measurements taken from?
i can only get 200mm(for the diamater of the friction surface on flywheel and pressure plate) and 235mm for diamter of thge mounting bolts on the presure plate??
